Look Before You Eat

Decided to eat a bowl of popcorn just now (which I burnt, of course) while squidgyfishlove was just beating the campaign in Halo 3. I'm munching away as he escapes certain doom and then look down at my next bite of popcorn on its way towards my mouth...

There was a spider curled up to about the size of the tip of my finger sitting on the tip of my finger!!! [Which means that it would have been bigger than my finger while alive.] And it was already dead.

o_O

Freaky. Freaky. Freaky.

I haven't ventured back into my bowl of popcorn... and I'm not sure that Stephen wants any now either.

Indeed - remember, I subscribe to the extended Orwellian dictum: "four legs good, two legs bad, eight legs fucking abomination". It's a good thing it was dead, I suppose, as anything scuttling within fifty yards of me has me reaching for a rolled up copy of the FT.

so gross... I've had creepy crawlies galore trying to get in since it's autumn once again so I imagine I'll start finding their corpses soon... did see the biggest fly I've ever seen the other day... it was quite frightening... I live in the land of mutant bugs

Well... I'm sure the little things we complain about are nothing in comparison to other parts of the world... But some of them certainly are freaky! I've seen bigger spiders in our house this year than I've ever seen before. (Besides things like tarantulas... but those are supposed to only come from pet stores.)

At least most of what we have isn't poisonous.
