So, that Petunia Picklebottom diaper bag that I liked so much... all but the colour... well I found it in "Onyx." This means black with red piping. WANT ONE. Apparently the only place to buy them new is at Neiman Marcus.



They only cost $158 new, plus shipping and whatever. And this, dear friends, is why we have Ebay! Only available used so far... but you know... for a hell of a lot less than a new one.

The only other diaper bag I've seen that I like is this OiOi Charcoal Dot that I saw at Birth and Beyond when I was there with Traci last week.

I don't like it as much as the Petunia Picklebottom one, but that means there are two out there that I don't hate.

And why is this a big deal? I will admit it: I have a bag fetish. This is the only time I get to embrace it, really. Maybe you would have to know me to understand. However, I have done as Stephen wanted and got rid of most of my bags... and now I don't have a messenger bag anymore. Nope, that's right. Me without a black messenger bag. This means I can't just use something that's laying around because there aren't any.

I know I'm the only one who cares about this, but it's my journal. And a girl can dream.

However, I did also find a wipes case on Ebay with hand painted/air brushed skulls on it. So I guess there is that. Tempting for $7 w/ shipping... but we'll see.

The bag's important!! And both of those are very nice. No pastels or teddy bears in sight....result.

Get the one you want, it's going to get so much use that the price is justifiable - unlike many handbags I've bought and only used once/twice...

It's incredibly ridiculous the difficulty one must overcome to avoid everything being covered in one or both or those. OR, they've made it a "Dad's" thing, and they're still under functional, over priced and totally lacking in style.

Why must I have such expensive taste? Ah well... shall have to pool some pennies... *mwahahaha*

You know, you'd be amazed at the average cost of diaper bags. I think they charge more for them just because they are diaper bags. This is much the same as how anything that was bridal or wedding related cost three times as much just because they seem to be able to get away with it.

It seems like any decent diaper bag is over $100. But then again, a good messenger bag is usually $70-$100.

Oh well, it's not like I can afford any bag, but I can drool over them . It's my right as a woman.

You know, in less than three weeks we will be at full term. So... really... there could be a baby very soon. I mean there already is one, but you know you. I will be a mom soon. Isn't that nuts?

I think you're crazy... $158 for a bag that's going to get spilled on, puked on, food smashed into it and will inevitably get beat the hell up from all the places you'll take it lol =) I'm all for no pastels or teddy bears and whatnot but of all the stuff to spend on baby gear that's more important... I dunno, to me it's just a bag and it's hard to justify that amount unless the damn thing cleans and organizes itself.

it is but still... you can find good looking bags that are a reasonable price-- hell, you can find diaper bag knock offs now lol and they definitely do mark 'em up just because they're "diaper bags"... it's pretty evil. I'm happy with my Bloo Foster's tote =)
